Who I am.
Hey there! I'm Helen, a 3rd year full-time student at the University of California, Irvine, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Informatics expected in 2026, which specializes in human-computer interaction and software development.
A few of my values and goals are...
- building a strong sisterhood in STEM
- aiming for the best of the best
- being open-minded to all backgrounds.
Outside of my studies, I enjoy crafts such as crocheting and spending time with my dog Comic, which contributes to my inspiration and creativity. I am also in other fun organizations and clubs such as fashion, Chinese association, and running!

With 3 years of programming experience and active involvement in STEM organizations promoting sisterhood and gender equity, I've gained valuable skills and perspectives. As a growing software developer, my passion for closing the gender gap in a male-dominated area has allowed me to contribute to making a impact on future generations!

This mobile app was created for Coding Minds, it functions as a social media platform that connects users through Matcha!
Users can create an account and make posts related to Matcha and also view other user profiles. All user data is saved to Firebase and login information is authenticated using the Firebase Auth feature.
Features Include:
- uploading posts that everyone can see
- stores user data using Firebase
- like posts and follow users
- a matcha user timeline/feed
